I'm missing Steve Harris plugins in reaper, is there a wrapper like linvst for ladspa plugin?

Carla?? -> Works, just tested it.sysrqer wrote:I'm missing Steve Harris plugins in reaper, is there a wrapper like linvst for ladspa plugin?
Some days ago I played with the waveshaper while having headphone on. I tweaked the parameters and absolutely nothing happens. Suddenly there was a noise that almost killed my ears...

Yeah I've had similar experiences with ladspa plugins in general. A lot of the steve harris ones are fantastic though, like the am pitchshifter.lilith wrote: Some days ago I played with the waveshaper while having headphone on. That looks like exactly what I'm after. How do you make it work?Jack Winter wrote:There is also: https://sites.google.com/site/skeiaudio ... pa_wrapper

Re: ladspa to vst wrapper?
To be quite honest I've never tried. Maybe just copy the lib into your ~/.vst dir and see if it picks up your ladspa plugins? FWIW, I seem too stupid to figure out how to download the lib file

Re: ladspa to vst wrapper?
the website there is (and has been for quite a while) a bit "work in progress" :-/sysrqer wrote:That looks like exactly what I'm after. How do you make it work?Jack Winter wrote:There is also: https://sites.google.com/site/skeiaudio ... pa_wrapper
i will (someday) make a better site, but until then:
there's a little bit more info in this updated version:
https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code ... PgSpDXyyW7
there's a txt file + some scripts in the zip file..
i have a similar dssi wrapper too, if anybody is interested in that:
https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code ... YKhj3htb5X
the hope/plan is/was to combine these into one plugin, that could wrap ladspa, dssi, and possible lv2..
not sure when, since i'm currently rewriting some lower-level parts of my framework..

Re: ladspa to vst wrapper?
FWIW, I just downloaded and tested quickly. Seems to work in reaper.

Re: ladspa to vst wrapper?
Thanks, that works really well for what I've tested so far. Except the AM Pitchshifter, it mutes the trackskei wrote:

Re: ladspa to vst wrapper?
I just want to say a quick thank you for this wrapper. I recently moved to Reaper and, although overall I love it, I was finding hard to use Reaper's plugins after 9 years used to LADSPA. Of course there is always Carla, but it creates an additional step in the workflow and it's a bit cumbersome...
No more; I ran the setup script, and when I opened Reaper's FX and saw all the new stuff, it felt like Christmas day... Very very useful, kudos to the developer.
