A schematic database for future GX projects

Post by Aleks »

I really liked this concept that people from Guitarix have, to digitally recreate actual schematics of guitar amps and effects. So I figure it would be good to create a thread where we could post schematics and links to schematics where GX folks can draw from for their future projects. Here are mine suggestions for the first post:

- An old Yugoslavian guitar amp called Čajavec GA (there were several versions of it, I had the GA 104). This amplifier was the "Crate" amp for several generations in ex Yugoslavia. It was a transistor amp, discrete design. Mine was head + 15" RCF cab. When played moderately loud, it sounded decent, but when dimed past 70 percent, it sounded shrill and harsh, so I sold it and later bought a custom 30 watt tube combo.

- Mad Professor's Sweet Honey Overdrive; people say it's a very touch responsive overdrive pedal designed to resemble the feel of a tube amp. I got the schematic from here:

- Here is another solid state amp design. I built one similar to this, and it makes a fine practice amp.
