Hi
I'm new of the forum.
I have a boring problem when I try to use bristol with my Keystation Mini 32 M-AUDIO
I use ubuntu studio 16.04 and Jack
I set the Bristol configuration choosing Juck as Audio Driver and Alsa as Midi Driver.
In the connection kit of Jack, in the Alsa panel I connect the keystation with bristol. Playing the keyboard I see that using a Bristol synth (e.g.Mini Moog) the keyboard keys of the Moog respond to the Keystation touch but no sound comes out of the computer.
Surely I miss something but I don't be able to know what.....
Thank you in advance for your help
L

Re: Bristol and Midi Keyboard
Is your keyboard transmitting on the correct MIDI channel? Ensure it is set to channel 1.
To further troubleshoot, you can use the VMPK virtual keyboard. Connect that to Bristol in the ALSA MIDI patchbay and see if you get any sound out.

Re: Bristol and Midi Keyboard
Also, in the top right corner of the Mini Moog preset, you'll find an ON slider (light blue should be to the left) and a volume knob. Ensure that these are ON and turned up.
Re: Bristol and Midi Keyboard
Many thanks for your replies...
..so.. in the MIDI panel of Jack only the voice system is present both in the input and in the output sections
in the top right corner of the Mini Moog preset volume in turned op and ON is selected
I've used VMPK and I've connected it with Bristol (no sound) and it with Keyboard and Bristol but no sound comes out....
