Dplug seems interesting and seems to be somewhat based on Reapers WDL.
I did have a look at it when I was porting a Windows vst to Linux but I chose dpf (distrho) instead, but I needed to modify a few things relating to inbuilt presets and some other things but it all worked out pretty well in the end.
