Hi,
On my desktop i did some upgrades and after starting bitwig and playing around with some tal plugins and others
i noticed that the state of the tal-plugins aren't being saved. Noizemaker, dub, the reverb plugins etc.*
They are all affected. I the project has been reloaded, they don't even go to there init. All the sliders are down, pots are rotated down right.
Has someone has problems with these too?

Re: Bitwig+ Tal plugins
Ok, it's even worser now.
Lots of plugins i don't see anymore. not only TAL any more but also lots of others.
Could it be that the conversion to gcc5 cause this?

Re: Bitwig+ Tal plugins
gcc5 changed its C++ ABI, so that's likely the source of the (missing plugins) problem.

Re: Bitwig+ Tal plugins
How can i know if they are compatible?
If i read GCC version out of a file it should match?
example:
$ strings -a /opt/bitwig-studio/bitwig-studio | grep GCC
GCC_3.3.1
GCC_3.0
GCC_3.3
GCC_4.2.0
GCC: (GNU) 5.2.0
GCC: (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.6.3-1ubuntu5) 4.6.3
$ strings -a /usr/lib/vst/Nekobi-vst.so | grep GCC
GCC_3.0
On my laptop everything works fine, but i don't dare to upgrade now so that it don't get broken .

Re: Bitwig+ Tal plugins
You need to grep for the string CXXABI

Re: Bitwig+ Tal plugins
'everything' is working again. The tal plugins are found but there still a big problem,
Nothing of the patches are saved even in 1.3.8, wich worked before very good.
After saving project, reopening doesn restored the state.

Re: Bitwig+ Tal plugins
solved.
Tonespace caused the problems. After deleting tonespace, the tal plugins gave no problems anymore.
Very strange.
