Re: Dexed updated
it's drop dead gorgeous.
btw
Still have a book somewhere about FM synthesis : "FM Synthese in de praktijk" (practical FM synthesis).
It's in dutch and very technical. It shows you what kind of wave form you get when modulating the sine waves , etc etc.
If people are interested I can post some stuff from it in the forum.

Re: Dexed updated
It seems Dexed cannot load single sounds like Hexter can. That would be needed so make Dexed a modern replacement for Hexter.

I do know this one, which seems to be a companion manual for the DX7: http://synthzone.com/midi/yamaha/dx7/fm ... ations.pdf It covers FM theory but is very much DX7 programming focused, but that may be exactly what people here are looking for.

Re: Dexed updated
Dexed 0.9.0 from yesterday's DISTRHO git has some problems in Bitwig 1.1.9 :
Open the Parm dialog. Click on the Engine Resolution or DX7 I/O selection boxes. Don't make a selection, just click anywhere else in the dialog panel. The plugin crashes, but it restarts without problems.
Open the Cart dialog. It creates a black frame that persists across workspaces :
The frame disappears when the dialog is closed.
Not major bugs, but bugs nonetheless.
Filipe, would you prefer reports like this mailed directly to you instead of posted here ? I assume most people will be using your binaries, not building from git.
Best,
dp

Thanks, much appreciated.falkTX wrote:the combo-box issue is something I know about, I'll fix it before doing a new release pack.
other plugins that use combo-boxes, like klangfalter, have the same issue.
Low priority, I agree, but the darned frame is there in every workspace. Not fatal, just a bit annoying.the black frame is a new dexed issue introduced in 0.9.0.
I won't bother with it too much as it's not fatal.
if it gets fixed in the official dexed repo I'll import the fix.
Will do, thanks, and thanks again for the DISTRHO stuff (and everything else you're doing for Linux audio).and to report issues about these distrho plugins (the ports) use this github tracker:
