Which is better, Klangfalter or IR: LV2?
As far as i know, these are the only 2 convolution reverb plugins for Linux, at least ones with the amount of features that they have. Are there any known issues with either and is one any more stable/less problematic than the other? Which is your favourite and why?

I use both. I don't really see the difference as I use them for guitar cab IR files so which ever I grab first I use.

I've never managed to build Klangfalter so IR I suppose.
Is there a .deb for klangfalter anywhere?

Ah finally I have it working
It's really nice, I've had some issues with IR in the past so I will try to use KlangFalter now, it certainly has a better browser than IR.

Yes, i really like the browser in it. I haven't been using IR much so i suppose what i'm trying to do is see if there are any stability issues with either and whether one is currently a better choice than the other.sysrqer wrote:Ah finally I have it working

Re: Which is better, Klangfalter or IR: LV2?
There is also HybridReverb2 which is available as lv2 or linuxvst in kxstudio or AVLinux. Its pretty good. I mostly use IR myself, but note that it has a bug related to its GUI code so that it you can only open its GUI once in a session due to (its) improper lv2 coding. The lv2 version of HybridReverb2 does not always work correctly either. Guitarix also incorporates a convolver based on Jconvolver (I think), which is also used in the IR plugin

They use both zita-convolver, the library behind jconvolver.Guitarix also incorporates a convolver based on Jconvolver (I think), which is also used in the IR plugin
On the road again.
