TAL Dub-3 strange behaviour

Post by werock »

Not sure where the best place to report this, so I thought I'd try here first.

I've been getting strange results when trying to use TAL- Dub 3 (VST) delay in Renoise on AV Linux 6.01. The best way of describing it is it sounds like the sample rate is being abused. The delay doesn't come through properly and is all garbled. If I add another effect before it in the chain then it starts to work properly!
It works OK in QTractor, so would ordinarily say it's something wrong with Renoise, but I have Renoise installed on another machine (using Mint 14) where it works fine! Is anyone else able to recreate this?

I've recently been using Tal Dub-3 along with Noisemaker in Tracktion just to try it out. I have been getting some distorted sounds almost like a reduced sample rate like you say. I didn't think much of it since Tracktion still has bugs of it's own for linux(still no working JACK support). But maybe these problems are related. I'm using Mint 13 with KXstudio.

Thanks - I probably won't be able to do a recording for a day or two, but will get to it as soon as I can.
