Upgrading to Neon 18.04 bringing KXStudio along?

Post by wolftune »

Hi all, I'm still sitting with KDE Neon 16.04 and was delaying upgrading, worrying about whether everything will be solid with 18.04 and KXStudio.

Is it safe enough to go forward and do the built-in KDE Neon update? Acknowledging that a fresh install is generally the cleanest, I could do that I suppose. The broader question is whether KDE Neon 18.04 + KXStudio is basically good enough to use…?

It's good enough for me, haven't had any problems relating to kxstudio that I can think of. The upgrade went fine for me, quick and painless.

Yeah the one that pops up in the taskbar. It didn't seem like a huge upgrade for me, I already use more recent kernel and neon means that kde is pretty much the same. I seem to remember that my wifi settings had changed slightly, the password was not enabled for all users and it caused the wifi to look like it's connecting, turned off and then connected properly. Took me a while to figure out what it was but wasn't a huge problem either way.
