Cadence session managment (patchbay) in Arch

Post by Capoeira »

Hi,

I finaly switched totaly from Qjackctrl do Cadence. But one thing I miss a lot is the batchbay which will automaticly make connections.
I get that in Cadence this is supposed to be done in Claudia, but Claudia is not available in Arch repros nor AUR.
any alternative to do this?

I need something with a gui lol.
not even Gladish is in AUR.
I might have a look into cli ladish if I find no other solution.

Because LADISH is dead since a long time ago.

Recommended: If you want full session management use Non Session Manager including the program jackpatch.

If you just want to save jack connections or connect them by pattern matching use one of the many tools around

Though NonManager is nice, it won't save my jack connections.

I guess I'll have to work my way through those comand line thingies

It does. NSM includes the program "jackpatch". Just add it to the session.

There isn't really a full equivalent to QjackCtl patchbay

Best I can think of is use a KX patchbay GUI (catarina or catia) or Patchage to sort out the connections
then use aj-snapshot commands in terminal to save and restore connections

this isn't a full GUI solution OP was looking for, but aj-snapshot commands are not too difficult to work out
