i notice that my installation is using ffmpeg 3.4.4 but the ffmpeg release is shown on their site to be up past 4.1. i was going to try removing ffmpeg an reinstalling it via a snap. when i selected ffmpeg for removal in synaptic, though, it warned that some kxstudio elements were among the things that would be affected. am i ok going ahead with this process? do i have to stick with the version i have? would installing the snap simply be picked up by kxstudio making this concern irrelevant?
thanks,
babag
