I hope that at least the KSStudio repositories will be maintained. I rely on them for my audio software.

“On a break” isn't synonymous to “abandoned forever”.
Being creative does not imply being lazy, stupid, or illiterate.

Working in Harrison Mixbus and Ardour on KDE Neon + KXStudio.

FWIW: I've got Carla updates today from the KXStudio repository (for Debian Sid). A good sign, I suppose.

These are terrible news for me. KXStudio is the only distro that has always done whatever I needed out-of-the-box, with my favourite DE and all the tools I needed.
I have checked the website quite every day since Ubuntu 18.04 has been released for KXStudio 18.04, and now it looks we have to wait until this summer.

I would give my help, but I don't know anything about programming or packaging. :(

Just install Ubuntu or Debian and add the repositories by hand. It's really easy and you will get help here!

Or install kde neon, that's what it will apparently be based on when it comes so install it and add the repo and you're good to go.

I wonder if a transition to flatpak would make falktx's work easier as you just build to that instead of 4 different buntu's plus Debian with the current apt repo. Also, snaps might flip the bill as well. Finally, you would get the added benefit that flatpak or snaps are distro-agnostic. That's after his "break". I think the KXStudio distro is nice, but I'd rather have clean, cohesive, fully functional software that's updated instead quite frankly (flatpak/snaps).
