Well, if possible I'd like to use the latest Ubuntu version.

And anyway on the web site I see a link to a 14.04 iso, not 18.04...

That topic talks about an alpha stage iso.

Oh, I seemed to pick up that there was at least a beta out.
Anyway. My bet is that 18.04 is much better supported because falktx is working on releasing the iso.
Personally I just use the repos because I don't care about KDE.
I use Mint + kxstudio repos btw.

I haven't read all the posts in the topic but I'd think that if the iso were at last beta it would also be posted on the website.

Anyway you use Mint which is roughly equivalent to a 18.04, right?

Thanks

I like to have the bleeding edge distro, if I can, on my primary computer, but as a last resort I gues I can settle with that. Or Kubuntu 18.04 for that matter.

18.04 is a long time support release if I'm not wrong so it would not lag too much behind.

As an aside, would you mind telling me what do you like in cinnamon more than KDE? I never used Cinnamon and I'm just curious.

EDIT: And, if you don't mind, why Mint over Ubuntu in general?

Why not go for Neon? It is now based on ubuntu 18.04 so you have the LTS part but the KDE aspects are updated to near bleeding edge (they do some testing first which seems to be surprisingly effective). It's what the next kxstudio iso will be based on.

Well, that could be an idea.

If I can't get the complete 18.10 seems the closest alternative.
