LOS midi editor crashes the app when it closes

Post by alex stone »

When i open the midi editor in LOS and edit an item, everything works fine. When i attempt to close the editor it crashes LOS. This happens every time.

When i'm in the arranger window, and the midi editor is open behind it, if i delete an item, then the editor crashes, and pulls LOS down with it. This also happens every time.

Alex.

p.s. Falk, i know you've turned off a lot of stuff in LOS, and if this problem is not fixable, can i ask you to revive the oom .deb? I tried an old one i had and the midi editor worked fine, but there was a problem with it not recognizing jack2 properly. I think it's because it's a bit old, and we were using jack1 back then as i remember.

Either one would be good.

I'd very much appreciate anything you can do, thanks. OOM 2012 would be ideal at the moment.

I will try to get the oomidi-2012 built again.
Too bad they stopped development.

Erm, I did actually report this some time ago.

There were some issues that had to be fixed, but oomidi-2012 works for me again.
See https://github.com/falkTX/oom/commits/master

Package is being built, you will be able to install "oomidi-2012" in a few hours.

Thanks!

So far so good.
I've installed oom and it opens without problems. The midi editor opens and closes as it should.

I only have one LV2 plugin that shows, and that's foo20 the synth. I assume this is a general lv2 problem that you've discovered. (I took a look at the commits in github.)
But the rest is ok so far. I can start a massive linuxsampler standalone instance, and allocate all the ports correctly. Midi ports are important to me. :)

Thanks again for bringing this back to life.

Alex.
