There's an interesting thread at Reaper's Linux forum where a user has tweaked snd-usb-audio to significantly reduce latency with usb interfaces, and made added it to AUR. I dodn't know what thay have done, but I'm curious if there might be a way to get this type of tweaked snd-usb-audio into the kxstudio reapos for those of us that use Debian/Ubunto based distros and kxstudio, rather than Arch. The interesting part starts at post 17 here:

[X] Yes!
That Class Compliant (256/2 512 + 205 ~ 14.938 ms) has bad values and no hdspmixer is available is sad.
With the RME driver (256/2 512 + 59 ~ 11.596 ms) and hdspmixer.
And you also want the hdspmixer.

Code: Select all
mv pulseaudio /dev/null && Compile Firefox with --enable-jack.
