Package updates in the KXStudio repositories

cadence has been updated, now with the latest version that uses qt5 instead of qt4.
this will fix the broken UI under some new systems that made disabled buttons appear as enabled, and also follow the kde5 theme if that's the desktop you use.
this took too long as I was trying to figure out a way to get pyqt5 working under kde neon (based on 16.04), which breaks pyqt5+dbus and makes cadence unusable). still working on it, need to figure out a solution for the upcoming 18.04 release.
but with this major thing out of the way, development for cadence can be resumed once again.

If you're running a recent enough distro (Debian Jessie, Ubuntu !6.04, or higher) then please update and let me know how it works for you.
Hopefully no major issues are left, I tested it on my pc with kde-neon.
(Only known issue I know is systray not behaving properly).
Giving it a few weeks of testing, I will then make a new release out of it.

One small step needed for the upcoming 18.04 ISO release.

Some small plugin updates:

artyfx, calf-plugins-git and zynaddsubfx-git updated to their latest versions (calf now has a systray icon!)
hexter updated to 1.1.0, now loads in carla and renoise
x42-plugins updated to 20180320 (I dont know what actually changed here, there is no official changelog...)

How can I install the new zynaddsubfx version?

you install the zynaddsubfx-git package, just that.

Do I need to clone the git repository and install zynaddsubfx by myself? I used the search function but didn't find any hint how that works.
A simple sudo install zynaddsubfx-git doesn't work. Or do I need to install git before?

You don't use git at all. You do need an install program! "install" is not a program. You can use apt or apt-get as in `sudo apt install zynaddsubfx-git` But that won't work unless you have the KXStudio repositories installed and have done an update like `sudo apt update`. There are GUI tools for these things too.

My fault, sorry. It works ... So it's part of the KX repository already. I thought I have to install it from the zynaddsubfx git repository.

Some random packages will have updates right now and in the coming days, in preparation for 18.04 release.
kxstudio-desktop-neon is now a thing

Yes, I updated Dexed on the distrho-ports project to the latest upstream.

cool! plugin version is more usable (than standalone) if MIDI control of every single parameter required, so thanks a lot.

Is qtractor in the kx repositories still based on QT4 and will this change with the new ISO? I wanted to built qtractor by myself but got problems as I built it with QT5 and many plugins could not be loaded.

Qtractor, v1 synths and Carla use Qt4 for old distros and Qt5 for new ones (anything that uses the KXStudio GCC5 repos).
You can use Help -> About Qt in these applications to know what Qt version they use.

Thanks! What about Calf Plugins? Is it possible that under KXStudio 14.04 Calf plugins make less problems with Ardour than with Qtractor? For instance the Calf Analyzer Plugin constantly crashes Qtractor 0.9.0 but not Ardour 5.12).

Hello,
I use ARDOUR 5.12.0 downloaded from ardour.org. This works fine, needs no asio-driver.

After upgrade 17.10 -> 18.04 I wanted to install REAPER 5.80 which needs Wineasio. Had this program before, on another computer for special purposes. I installed kxstudio repos and activated gcc5. But no wineasio package available.

What to do now?
