cadence wont start with my interface

Hi just installed kx distro.Was using ubuntu studio and had no problems.After installing kx,i have audio and most apps seems to work.Problem I'm having is cadence will not start when I choose my lexicon omega interface.As I said it worked fine in US.When trying to start jack I get. The omega shows up under aplay.Ive tried to cadence start reset but that didnt work.Also im trying to start the omega with 4 capture ports,which i was able to do in US.
The other issue im having is when trying to start Ardour.I tried twice but it gets hung up when trying to open a project.The third time it did start.
I'm new to all of this,thanx for any and all help
