Carla as an SFZ player

Post by AnthonyCFox »

To clarify something you said on another post, is Carla able to play sfz's without linuxsampler?

Related to that, are there plans to make Carla able to be used as a vst plugin?

plans? yes.
Let's say a testing version will be out there in time for bitwig. :D
Would I be able to use it in Reaper to give me access to Linux native plugins?

Carla in latest git now saves&restores JACK connections, so these 3 (reaper + jackass + carla) might be all you need in the future. :D
I couldn't find much on "Jackass" but what did makes it sound interesting. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Great.

When it's available in the repos I'll post about it in the Reaper forum. I've seen people ask about running Linux native plugins in Reaper before.
