Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
Can I please have the Peggy2000 synth? I can only find the source, tried to build it and it failed, no idea how to make it work.
Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
Hi, I'm using KxStudio 14.04 and it is not letting me update anymore and says I should upgrade to 16.04, I'm not sure if I should do this but it seems this is a dead end street. I am not sure all my software/hardware and settings would remain untouched (I use FL Studio in Wine for example) Any advice?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
Hi, thanks, yes going to 16 seemed like far streched, I know I can do updates manually, just want some feedback on why I'm getting the notice, would it also mean from now on I have to update manually? Is it because KxStudio is not supported anymore?
I do other work on the computer but try to set it up for music production and then the rest will usually be available. I switched from Win like 3 years ago and still have some issues, lately also my splash screen is gone and my desktop env seems to have gone back to a previous one, have yet to find a distro I love. Usability and looks are a must
Also, I have thought of downloading ubuntu 16 just to give it a try.
I also heard a bout an Arch distro that was working good for music, still not sure if I should stay with KX 14.04 or move to something else, also would like to work with RT kernel, having some latency issues.
Sorry for the rant, thanks.

Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
lol now this
Code: Select all
Setting up update-manager-core (1:0.196.19) ...
Setting up kxstudio-repos (9.3.0~trusty1) ...
Configuration file '/etc/apt/sources.list.d/kxstudio-debian.list'
==> Modified (by you or by a script) since installation.
==> Package distributor has shipped an updated version.
What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
Z : start a shell to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.
*** kxstudio-debian.list (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ?
Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
Hey
I was getting my updates from Muon manager (and I also use Synaptic), until I got the notification to upgrade. Well, it wasn't showing any other updates that were available as an option to upgrading, but now they are back, so I'm getting them and it's downloading kernel 39.19.0-69 including low latency.
Regarding the RT kernels and what you were saying about not using them daily because of docker (ubuntu I guess?), I'm using kde so not sure if I could use it daily, I'll check about that. I've read a bit about Manjaro also, what do you think of it?
Btw, no one else out there but us?
Thanks for your help mate.
