Thanks. I'll fiddle with it and see what it gives!falkTX wrote:It's the same exact source used for the linux discovery, but simply built with mingw32.DepreTux wrote:Sorry to revive an old thread, but...
Where can I download carla-discovery-win32's source code from?
Currently that discovery exe doesn't do much anyway, Carla will use dssi-vst to load win32 vsts in the end.

I'll have to be patient, then xDfalkTX wrote:You might want to wait until the end of this week.
I'm working on plugin bridges for Carla 2.0 right now, and (hopefully) will have a 2.0-beta to show off by then.
win32-vsts are *kinda* working... lots of things can go wrong so I have to be extra careful. We'll see how it goes soon anyway.
This is all about having zyn's parameters exposed to a host. Currently, I am using festige and the vst version of zyn, but it's unstable, and only 32 bits.
I can't wait to see the thing working natively.
Anyway, it's great to know you're improving carla support of vsts!
Thanks!

That screen shot seriously makes me miss those Variety of Sound plugins. Might have to install wine and use this when it's ready.

Re: Loading Windows VSTs within Carla
Hey falktx,
So I've got the git version.
So far so good.
But, Carla is seeing my windows vsts, but not listing them as a VST. I still get them only as DSSI?
I refreshed just the VST plugins, and it found all my LinuxVST and windows VST. But I only see my linuxvst when I uncheck everything but VST in the add new plugin special filter options.
edit:
I also just noticed the I only installed the carla-git and carla-plugins-lv2.
It appears that the bridges are still:
1.2.2+git20131118
So maybe I'm just impatient

Re: Loading Windows VSTs within Carla
Alrighty so...
I reinstalled KXStudio (using the newest ISO), I've updated and everything is fresh...
Now, the bridges are working, yay!
But...
Carla-Rack crashes Ardour 3.
Straight up seg fault.

Okay, it doesn't crash, but it doesn't load a UI upon double click?

Re: Loading Windows VSTs within Carla
Wil the use of Carla as a plugin host in ardour 3 behave more stable with, as an example addictive drums on a midi track, than ADD on a midi track in a vst build of ardour 3?
