I don't see any mention of a license or redistribution rights or access to the source code on their web site, so, until proven otherwise, no.

Does anyone have problems with saving parameters of OXE FM in Ardour? Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Now it works... very strange.

I had no problems so far, but I've only used Oxe FM with presets so far in Ardour, though I have some Carla projects with Oxe FM where I edited the sound and I don't recall problems with reloading these.

I realized that I had Oxe FM loaded within Carla in Ardour in my projects using it.

I just tested loading Oxe Fm VST directly in Ardour 5.12.0 and when I edit a sound, it saves the changes,, but when when I reload the projects, the actual preset isn't recalled. You may be able to work around this by inserting a Bank Select / Program Change into the MIDI clip at the start of the track.

Hmm, selecting the patch via bank select / program change doesn't seem to work either. Either I did sth wrong or the patch reverts to its unedited state then.

But by loading Carl Rack LV2 in Ardour and then loading Oxe FM within Carla, patch selection and edits are correctly recalled.

Patches I edit myself and don't save are restored OK.
Presets that come with the synth however aren't loaded properly.
However, when I save a preset with ardours preset mechanism, it works fine again.

So maybe a workaround would be to choose a preset. Use Ardours [Add] and [Save] buttons in the plugins window bar.

My WiP, little bit of bass and some trap elements...
LINK DELETED -- SEE MY LATER SUBMISSION

Bitwig 2.4, mostely OXE, some Juce (since OneSynthChallenge #110 I'm a little bit fan of it, you can find the track in my sc profile if you like) only one dexed...me now big heap enthusiast for mda FX...pizMidi is gone(?)
Patches/Sounds about 50:50 made from scratch and presets.

I'm not quite sure I really meet the rules becuase I use some BItwig stuff, i.e. stuff in the mixer change channels or invert l/r channels...hard to say, where DAW ends and where forbidden begins. Is it forbidden to pre-render an Arppeggio outside of the DAW? Me puzzled.

Anyway - Have Fun!

Very cool. Keep at it!
pizMidi is gone(?)

The rules say: panning, gain, compressor & limiter, eq are ok, so essentially, anything that a hardware mixing board would do, plus delay and reverb.
hard to say, where DAW ends and where forbidden begins. Is it forbidden to pre-render an Arppeggio outside of the DAW? Me puzzled.
As long as MIDI is not generated on-the-fly by a plug-in in the DAW in the same project, the rules make no restrictions as to the source of of your MIDI data. I agree it is not explicitly stated, but it's kind of implicitly expected, I think, that you need to get some MIDI data into your project ;)

If you want to stay true to the spirit of the competition, than you not generate the MIDI data by proprietary software, but nobody will and can check where the MIDI data comes from, if it's just a MIDI clip in the project.

I know that every set of rules triggers the creativity of people to invent ways how they can bend or circumvent these rules. Put some of this creativity in working with the tools the rules allow, and you'll come up with an awesome track :)

Yes, that's me from the OSC ;-) I think that quite a few guys from OSC will take part here.
All those that have given up struggeling with September featured Synth Seismic VST like I think TrojakEW.
Let's wait how many will meet the deadline.

BTW, nice WiP. I'm looking forward to listening to the final mix down. Far more melodic and musical than my WiP...BUt I want to keep the dark trap feeling and simple harmonies.

And by the time I have changed to havin fun in "truffle pig" mode looking for cool open source VSTs. I always neglected mda, but it's quite cool and clever designed stuff...It shows me how much of an eye-oriented human I am. No cool GUI made me not even considering downloading these plug-ins. Somebody should go and add some cool GUI tp mda plug-ins...

Best Regards
