KXstudio and madio 2496

What other apps and distros do you use to round out your studio?

KXstudio and madio 2496

Post by thomasK »

Hi,

after installing KXstudio, the distro dosen't recognise my maduio 2496 soundcart. I get the message: KDE detected that one or more internal sound devices were removed.

I'm also unable to start Jack.

Dose anyone know whats wrong?

No idea but check that lspci sees it. I once had a bad time until I realized that the card was not well inserted in the PCI slot.

Check also /proc/asound/cards

Cheers, Pablo

I am not familiar with KDE, but check if "cat /proc/asound/cards" lists them.

If so, the problem is at a higher level

Hi, This is strange. It could be that the alsa drivers were not installed. Try to contact falktx. Maybe, try reinstalling the system.
