Installing Melodyne

What other apps and distros do you use to round out your studio?

If you get wine 3.18, in a modern distro, you might get lucky with melodyne.
A video card, as opposed to a motherboard chip might also be part
of the recipe. If some plugin doesn't work at first, find a list of common
wine overrides, and you might get luckier. Add one override at a time and retest,
and while you're testing, find some other windows plugin freebies,
demos, or some with no-brainer sale pricing .
Try things from IK Multimedia, KV331, Dimitri Sches, SugarBytes,
Fathom (free mono version), AAS, D16 Group, Toontrack, Ignite,
Voxengo, Tokyo Dawn, or jewels from a hundred small developers.
You might be happily surprised whats on offer.
Some things that didn't work in wine two years ago, work now,
and some things that won't work now,
may well work next year, or two years from now. Some basic
testing and bug reports move things forward.
Cheers
