I'm finally getting into mix referencing and am encountering a simple problem:
I want to rip wav files from CDs and have the files named with the track titles via online lookup (CDDB or what have you).
All the GUI rippers I have checked out (Sound Juicer and various music management apps) will only change the file names to song titles if I also transcode to another format. I don't want to transcode--I want to keep them as wavs.
Obviously I can just drag the wav files off the CD and manually rename track1.wav to Favorite_Song.wav but I am way too lazy to do this all the time. I'm looking for an easy way to title them.
Mods, please move if this is the wrong sub-forum ("Other Software" seemed like the best place).

Rubyripper perhaps. It's been a long time since I last used it so cannot remember for sure if it will do what you want.

Exactly! I'm finding that most ripping applications have sat abandoned for years...42low wrote: That's so '90s, ripping cd's. LOL
Do cd's still exist?
Food for thought when we're all busy making fancy music at high sample rates...

Lots of us still buy Cd, even though we use mp3, for lots of good reasons.
