usb stick does not boot (KXStudio)

dear all,

i was trying to install KXStudio on my wifes (new)Dell latitude e6440 from usb stick but it will not boot. It sets irq values(?) but then it will not continue...
Any ideas i could try please?
nb: the flash drive boots fine on my computer.

...well, i did this:
-switch on computer and press f12(prepare one time boot menu)
boot mode is set to legacy: secure boot is off(i get this warning(?) in yellow, dunno what it means. I do not remember if it was there last time)

-select usb drive and press enter
-select start KXStudio

then i get:
*Restoring resolver state
setting IRQ priorities (7 times ok)

could you point me to when ¨during the first boot image¨ is?

Would that mean it is not realy possible?
