Muse - Ruled by Secrecy

Post by etienne »

In my constant quest to provide the world with quality music in the wake of 90% of South African artists, I am posting a song by Muse, one of the best bands of all time. Their music is unbelievably complicated, varying, and beautiful.

This is the piano part of the song, which is mainly a piano song. Any reviews would be most welcome!

I would love to share this sheet music publicly on the internet, but I am not yet sure about fair use laws, and thus, for now, this piece is to remain on this members only forum...

The link, which I have hidden deep under an old blog entry on my website to protect it from copyright infringement, is:
http://www.micmusic.co.za/sites/default ... xample.pdf

Feel free to rate it, and to give me advice on whether writing out my own sheet music is fair use or not...

Thanks for sharing, I'll use it for educational and scientific purpose only ;)

Which app did you use to make the score?

Do you have an midi file of it? So we can play it with a midi sequencer and Linuxsampler (check out that piano sample on their website!!!)?

Oops, it's not "Rules" but "Ruled" with a D...

I wrote it in MuseScore (ironic!) ... I wish I could have used LilyPond, but I'm not good enough yet...

Oh, and what Piano sample are you talking about? I was on the Muse website, but couldn't find anything like that...

Here:

I exported the MuseScore file to Midi, but it sounds horrible! Seriously, just go onto Last.fm or something and listen to the real song! It will amaze you...

I was talking about the Linuxsampler website: http://www.linuxsampler.org/instruments.html
