Tweaks on studio distributions

I have this doubt. What are the tweaks that make one studio distro different from other? I'm not considering the software installed, just system tweaks, file modifications etc, that kind of thing. Is there a place that I can read about that? I can't find the specific modifications they do to the original distro that makes them better for audio production.
