Some Debian howto's: improving 'audio' performance?

I found some interesting howto's for Debian, but don't know in which way its influences 'audio/DAW' performance:
This first one seems especially interesting:

I found the second howto useful and added for example noatime to my fstab file...
And I saw that's also adviced in our wiki (good job Raboof!)
