AC transients -> jack stops working

I have strange problem. I have sometimes problems on AC quality, and therefore I have APC Line-R power regulator on front of UPS. I got that years ago when one of secondary machines went to 'brain dead' mode on short dips in voltage. Computer was not alive, but did not reboot.

Now I have issue with same kind of transients even behind it. And there is UPS even after that. However, sometimes when something bit more power consuming device powers on, I get 'click' on line-r, and on some cases, my jack stops working. jackdbus consumes 100% of cpu, and it does not recover itself. Only way to recover is kill -9 to jackdbus, and start it over. And sure, nearly all apps related to audio need restart also.
My audio output is cheap Behringer usb-interface, connected to usb-hub. Computer and usb-hub are connected to same ups.

What I suspect is that my computer hw is getting old, capacitors on power supply or motherboard have passed their best days, but on the other hand, if jackdbus would recover from situation, I could live with this for a while, before there is worse problems. Any ideas?

I would avoid using a USB hub when working with audio, not saying it won't work, but could be a source of trouble.

Also check your usb cables, might be as simple as that..

I wonder whether the AC transients might force the soundcard or USB hub to turn off briefly, for either electrical reasons or some internal circuit protection. If that's the case JACK might react as you describe due to the sound device being disconnected.

I'm sure it is something like this. Jack recovering without killing it would be optimal for me, but maybe that is too much to wish?

MB has 2x usb, and I have more than one audio interface, and other usb devices also. Maybe I have to investigate if mb has some usb pins, so that I could have more ports.

same happens to me in my place, I think the soundcard goes temporarily off and jack doesn't handle that well.
if you use jack2 and jackdbus mode, you can try this:

which will just load back the current jack settings.

Ok, I'll try that (if changing that primary usb-interface to be directly conneted did not fix the problem)

This was the magic fix. Now I've had all audio interfaces directly in computer, and no more problems. Most likely usb hub / it's power starts to be in in bad shape, so that even on ups power it has some problems
