How to use AddictiveDrums2 in real time?

Post by ConduitStudio »

Hello there, felllow penguins!!

I've been trying to use Addictive Drums 2 to record my Roland TD4 KX2 e-drum.
Addictive Drums 2 recognizes the e-drums' mappings while Hydrogen and AVLDrums won't.
I've been using airwave to make the system think that AD2 is native (so it can be loaded on Ardour and other programs).
Important to say that when using Carla, Carla somehow knows that AD2 isn't realtime signed. Because when using this filter, AD2 won't show on Carla.
When using the plugin, I don't get huge latency but I get several glitches on the audio output.

I use:
- Arch linux with rt-kernel
- CPU governors tweaked for performance
- Swappiness to 10
- No resource-intensive background processes
- Sysctl tweaked.
- High precision event timer readable
- I'm the audio group (there aren't multiple audio groups)
- Tweaked the system to be able to prioritize processes with chrt
- Wineasio installed and functioning

I've been looking on how to create and export variables for it. So far couldn't find any info for AddictiveDrums2.
How to set priorities on wine-rt for AD2? Or sign it as a real time plugin? And which priorities would be for AD2?

Thanks a lot!!!!
