Hi, so first thing, I know the controller is not the problem, because up until a few days ago, it was working perfectly, and then without me making any changes, the controller won't connect to qtractor, and LMMS won't even launch.
I'm using JACK2 and Cdence, this is what the cadence options look like:

I'm using Arch if that's relevant.
One more thing, if anyone has any other programs to try instead of qtractor let me know because it does not give any feedback whatsoever as to why it's not connecting.
EDIT: Well, fixed it by replacing JACK2 with JACK.

Re: MIDI controller won't connect to qtractor
maybe too late but for future memory anyway i say:
most sure the problem lies in the MIDI Driver selection: when one sets for "ALSA Raw-MIDI" (or just "raw" in qjackctl), then all external hardware MIDI ports are taken over in exclusive mode for JACK use. that means, from that moment on wards, all ALSA-Sequencer-MIDI infrastructure is about useless, blind and just un-connectable thereafter. and that's why qtractor and probably lmms couldn't see nor connect to it any longer.
hth.
cheers
