When editing /etc/security/limits.d/audio.conf for audio, I've seen the added lines these two ways:
@audio - rtprio 99 <<BR>>
@audio - memlock unlimited <<BR>>
#@audio - nice -19 <<BR>>
And
@audio - rtprio 99
@audio - memlock unlimited
@audio - nice -19
Which is correct? Do I need the <<BR>> characters? And in the first example, isn't the third line commented out by the pound sign?

Yes, but nice isn't needed/use by any jack aware audio application, so commenting it out is unrelated to "audio". Other than that, the 2. example is right.
