Cannot start Jack

Hello,

I am trying to build up my home studio but every time I have a problem starting up Jack.
Can anyone help me out please?

This is the message I keep receiving:

What distro are you using?

Just making assumptions but make sure that all apps using sound are closed. I've had errors like that when there was some zombie process of hydrogen running or whatever. As soon as you reboot start QJackCtl first and then start loading your audio apps.

Are you in the 'audio' group (and did you log out/in or reboot since you added yourself to that group (so it takes effect))?

Yeah indeed, I did not add myself to the audio.
