[ANN] Qtractor 0.9.12 - The QStuff* Winter'19 Release batch #3

Post by rncbc »

Greetings, just one last time!
  • Qtractor 0.9.12 (winter'19) is released!
The change-log is rather short but nevertheless:
- Basic key-signature has been added to tempo, time-signature and location markers map.
- MIDI Clip editor (aka. piano-roll) horizontal and vertical splitter sizes, widths and heights resp. are now preserved as user preferences and also to session state.
- Second attempt to fix the yet non-official though CMake build configuration.

Hello, I tried the appimage version and well as repo version in Linux Mint 19.3. It doesn't output any sound at all. I can see the output in the mixer, LED is activated, i cant hear the sound. I am not using any audio interace, just my laptop speaker.

actually it depends to what soundcard/device interface is JACK configured; the Log doesn't show any clue on that matter, sorry.

please review your JACK settings, (qjackctl > Setup ? ; cadence > Configure? ..) and check whether you're actually connecting to laptop speakers and not to some hdmi device, bluetooth headset or else that might appear as the first (hw:0) device in ALSA terms ... these are just hunches, as all seems to be working in qtractor as it should.

It's a trap. In a few years CMake will go out of support and CMakeNextGen will be incompatible in any aspect just because it's cool.
