Infamous Plugins v0.2.04 Even Closer to Optimal

Post by ssj71 »

Optimization broke lush life in previous releases, and I had been doing all my debugging (and use) without any optimization turned on. But now I've changed my ways, fixed the bugs and the infamous lush life is ready for all your doubling/chorusing needs. This release is mostly to get that important fix out, though there are also sundry bug fixes in the various plugins.

However you also get a bonus: a new effect! The infamous bent delay! This otherwise basic feedback delay purposefully aliases (according to how much to set it to downsample/"bend") to give you some grainy lo-fi delay effects. I was planning to hold out release until some more projects in the works were finished (like a GUI) but I want this bugfix for lushlife out asap.

Enjoy!

Can't wait to check them out! (using Librazik-2 here)
You've created a very nice set of apps, ssj71. Thank you! :)

Congrats and thanks for the fix! Looking forward to putting Lushlife back to work, and the bent delay sounds like a lot of fun.

First post here: Hi.

I am a moron that is obsessed by crossbuilding images with Openembedded/Yocto for RasPi and have added Infamous Plugins to my image. This is way off from typical environment so I have to expect errors others don't have.

So my question here: Had a quick test (had never seen Infamous Plugins before - sorry) with recent Qtractor and saw that some plugins don't open a GUI and fall back to Qtractor's default parameter view. Is this a correct behaviour?

Thanks in advance,

Andreas

I've added Infamous Plugins to Gentoo Studio's overlay. I have yet to use anything exception the cellular automaton synth, but the synth is so much fun. It seems a little wonky, but that's part of the fun. It doesn't seem to do well with MIDI panic from Ardour, though. If the synth continues playing after I hit stop and I hit MIDI panic, the synth will stop, but it will remain silent until I restart Ardour.

I absolutely love that I can automate all the params from within Ardour.

Anyway, this is great, thank you for your work on Infamous Plugins.

Sorry, I only just saw this. This is expected. Some have GUI and some do not. Only those with a GUI on the website have one: http://ssj71.github.io/infamousPlugins/plugs.html

Great thanks! I'll look at the midi panic issue eventually (I'll file a bug report so I don't forget). I don't have tons of time for it soon. If you ever finish a track using it be sure to let me know, I'd love to hear what you do with it!

Just checked on Raspi: Get GUIs as expected so my build seems fine - thanks for helpful information
