New release of GxPlugins (v0.3) is out

Post by tramp »

Hi

I just pushed a new release of the GxPlugins to github.
In this release all plugs comes with a UI for the MOD and been tested to run smooth on it, that means, all plugs been ARM compatible.
A couple of plugs receive fixes to stabilize the filters.
A new plug was added, GxQuack, a envelope controlled wah pedal with some extra features.
So what is this, GxPlugins?
Its a set of simulated guitar pedals in LV2 format, to be used in a virtual stomp-box.
How do they look?
well, . .

These are amazing tools and they come in handy for everything.

I know the visuals are low on the list of priorities, but these look good too. You could make a couple small changes to make them stand out a little more:

1) Consider making the names of the individual effects easier to read. Brighter and bigger. It's easier to find the same box again if the ID is clear while you are using it.

2) If you place the "Guitarix" logo in the same place on each effect, the branding would be stronger and more attractive. Any reason you aren't using the guitar-playing penguin logo?

Just a thought. Sound is the most important part!

Those scrennys are show the MOD Duo interfaces, which are only supported by the MOD Duo, Carla or the MOD app. On PC, they look a bit different, for example here the GxHyperion:

I've moved the guitarix label a bit out of place here and there, because I found it u-nice in place with some of the background images.
I use just the label, because that's how all plugs been presented on the MOD, means, Caps, MDA, OpenAV, Invada, .. . , they all using a "box with a label" like this, so it looks more uniform on the MOD.
