need not stop the show. Pretty easy to homebrew such solutions. Especially if
the mod's case is easy to pop the top off.
Cheers
I use this strategy personally, specially with the 1/4' cord that I plug in my guitar, but I had not thought of having it built in the product.

The idea of having such a solution built into the MOD is not a bad idea at all.

Thank you so much for the suggestion glowrak guy. I'll surely put some thought on making it happen.

Kind regards

72% founded and 16 /from 30) days to go.
So the MOD is on a good way, but still some backers are needed to make it happen, some more to reach the stretch goals.

However, what really surprise me, that there are so less backers for the "Gift a free developer" reward. Just 1/2,6 MOD device as a gift to free developers from the Linux Audio community, :?

Just donated my first earnings from the infamous plugins. Wish I had more. I really hope they get the stretch goals!

Great! :D

I really hope that the campaign will reach at minimum the U$100.000 stretch goal.
Using the MOD as USB sound-card will make a dream come true.
A portable "sound-card" which could load and run dsp algorithm (LV2 plugins). 8)

Would there be plans to extend this into supporting samplers, synths, controlling parameters via Midi CC and changing patches? Basically... turn it into a poor man's Receptor for LV2 instruments?

Synths be supported, the MDA ePiano is already in the cloud.
http://cloud-testing.portalmod.com/
Midi IN/Out is supported, I didn't know if CC messages could be mapped to controllers, or if that is planed, usually you switch patches with the foot-switches.
New is the arduino shield, which will allow ANY kind of controller to be added.
As far I know, support for samplers is in the pipe, but not implemented jet.

Another idea: a metal or plastic plate, about 2.5 times the length of the case,
but on one end, place a wedge, a ramp leading up to the pedal box, and the box itself sits on
the flat portion of the plate, snug to the top of the wedge.

The idea is to have a sloped 'footrest', making it hard to tip the box by an errant stomp,
while making it easier to find the push buttons accurately, during energetic sessions.

Double sided tape, or velcro could be used to fasten the box to the plate,
or even a wedge shaped case could be designed. The hollow part could hold picks, strings, aspirin etc
Big congrats on reachng the first goal :D
Cheers

Wow, thanks for the info.
I started out as a pure hardware guy even though now I'm a pure software guy.
I'd like to get back to a hybrid system with only the advantages.
This type of stuff interests me. I appreciate the info very much.
