[ANN] Vee One Suite 0.7.6 - The Eleventh beta release

Post by rncbc »

Hello again!

The Vee One Suite aka. the gang of three old-school homebrew software instruments, respectively synthv1, as a polyphonic subtractive synthesizer, samplv1, a polyphonic sampler synthesizer and drumkv1 as yet another drum-kit sampler, are here released on their eleventh beta iteration, joining the so called Qstuff* End of Summer'16 release frenzy.

All still available in dual form:
- a pure stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session, NSM (Non Session management) and both JACK MIDI and ALSA MIDI input support;
- a LV2 instrument plug-in.

The common change-log says:
- MIDI RPN/NRPN running status and RPN NULL reset command are now supported (input only).
- The core engine implementation is now delivered as a shared object library, common to both the JACK stand-alone client and the LV2 instrument plug-in.
- Discretely fixed MIDI Controllers catch-up algorithm.

And here they come again!

@rncbc:
thanks for all the nice words! You're too kind!

@kobraji: I added the link to KVR's page for SynthV1 soundbanks and posted the link on my site. Can't wait to hear them!

I also replaced the old tarball of my own presets with a new tarball. A bit bigger bank now.
A song I did recently called "Castelseprio" includes a preset in the new tarball called "YouKnow-Bass." Even though it sounds good in the lower register, it was great as a lead too; really full-sounding. SynthV1 is one of my go-to synths now. I truly enjoy this instrument. ;)

Can synthv1 presets be imported as a whole?
Should presets folder be in a specific directory?
Or.....do they have to be loaded one by one? :shock:

If I'm not mistaken, the presets will be remembered. (At least, it was that way a while back.) If so, you will need to load them only once! ;)
