This isn't a new one or a massive re-vamp, but since it's probably the most complex and flexible little monster I've ever built, I thought I'd let everyone know that I finally got 'round to param-naming Atticus, my spin on u-he's Bazille, but hopefully a little easier on the CPU. It doesn't have all of Bazille's features and the oscs and mixer/filters are rather different, but it's still a beast!

-Four analog/digital hybrid oscillators.
-Two filters with internal mixers.
-Two VCAs.
-Two LFOs.
-sLFO.
-Four EGs.
-Two 'Multiplex's.
-CV Adder/Lag
-Reverb/Phorus
-Delay/Chorus (Chorus sucks, though)

Thanks to Spogg over at DSPR, the following have had their XY pads/Joysticks replaced with ones whose positions will be saved in presets and should also be automatable. I don't have a way to test the automation, so let me know what you find.

- Synthegrated 12A
- Synthegrated 15A
- The Putnie_os
- The Putnie_2s
- The Dodeca 258c
- SystemOne D
- SystemOne E

Indeed!

Thank you k brown for your continued contributions! One question: are there different links for downloading different instruments, or are they all now in one place?

All that have had their parameters named to make them compatitble with DAW automation and had some troublesome de-zippers removed are here -

More are being added as they get done; most have been.
On the other forums, there's the option of having this link as a footer on each of my posts, I don't see that option here.

This falls firmly into the category of a major re-vamp. I did this one a very long time ago, and knew it needed a lot of work, so didn't include it in the original Bundle.

A spin on the Synton Syrinx, it's main attraction being a very unusual filter arrangement: two Peak filters in parallel that could be connected in series or parallel with a 4-pole LP. Each Peak has independent freq and res controls with LFO and EG mods in common. The LPF has it's own LFO and EG mod controls. The Peaks and the LPF also have separate keyboad tracking. Wow.

The Syrinx had a single two-prong 'touch-pad' in place of bend and mod wheels. So I included sensitivity/destination controls for both bend and mod wheels.

Also, one can choose a grey, purple, red, blue or mauve panel.

Those who've already downloaded CyRinx, re-download it - made some tweaks to the peak filters and the scope.

This also isn't a new one or a re-vamp, but because it's story is interesting, I'm gonna post about it.

A few years ago there was a hoax perpetrated by someone going under the fake company name of 'Seekers'. They promoted the pending release of an impressively-featured synth called the SMS-2000. The thing never materialized.

Great thing about software like Synthmaker - we can make it 'real' as a vst.

Decided to do a second version of ZMZ 2000 that looks more like the 'original' (in same folder as the first version). On the first version I used bakelite-style knobs because at the time, I hadn't yet figured out how to do the more Moog-style. I also did the egs with sliders due to personal preference. I also implemented the Formant Filter as a three-band Polymoog-style.
So, v2.0 with Moog-y knobs, knoby Egs and a Formant filter based on the Moog Fixed Filter Bank (the frequencies shown in the photos of SMS 2000 made no sense in a formant filter. I think Wendy Carlos had a hand in selecting the bands for the Moog filter).

It seems I may have mis-spoken regarding Seekers as being a 'fake' company - not sure; nothing's very sure surrounding this synth. Did one ever exist - even in prototype? Was it an elaborate hoax - possibly perpetrated by Ken Elhardt? Whatever the case, whoever designed the specification and panel design knew what they were doing - it's brillliant! In hardware it would have cost a fortune - with SM we got it free!

Dayum,

We need a synthmaker for Linux. Or at least something that churns out Linux plugins.

Now I need to find some time to use all these beauties.

I've put together a little website for the plugins:

Yum! :)

I had a few issues running Atticus, especially the xruns.
Is there a way to show what needs correcting?

Pardon my ignorance - what's an xrun?
