Luc wrote:Either way, you should load the original Windows *.dll files on Carla.

Airwave-generated *.so files are meant to be used in hosts that do not support Windows *.dll plugins.

Carla has some of the same purpose as Airwave, with a different approach. You should use one or another. They are not meant to be used together.
Oh ok, I didn't realize that. (Although I did know that Carla can host .dll files; but it takes such a long time to update the plugins that I prefer FeSTige for the vsti's.)

Hi K Brown here - creator of the Synthmaker Bundle. Nice to see it's 'leaked' over to the Linux world. Sorry to see the GUIs show up so strangely - I know nothing about Linux, so can't help there.

I just wanted to let you know that some of the buggy behavior is about the original Bundle not having had all it's preset parameters given unique names so they're compatible with DAW automation, also their internal (hidden) Preset Managers had very low max no.s also causing some problems.

All the plugins that have had these issues addressed are now in a different folder which I will be adding to as more of these get done by myself and a couple of other folks that are pitching in. Please only use these from now on to assess the synths. None of these has as yet been fully beta-tested. The closest one to that has been OB-2, the dual-voice version of the Oberheim OB-1.

I just finished up doing this with the Synthegrated 12A (plus a major overhaul of the GUI and patching flexibility - sound unchanged), since there was some interest here on that one.

Use this link from now on:

And here one based on the Moog Model 15 Synthesizer. Only swap out here is the substitution of a third EG for the attenuators module, since all the inputs and many outputs have built-in inverse-able attenuators; and who doesn't love an extra envelope?

Thanks, I'm glad to see that. Only thing I notice is the Synthegrated 12A font is different. This is an issue with Synthmaker and nothing to do with Linux. Synthmaker labels link to the host computers font files, rather than generating them internally, so if I use a font your computer doesn't contain, it will show a different one - drag. I just last night figured out a way around this and will be gradually redoing these so the more unusual fonts will display correctly. I use Arial extensively and pretty much every computer ever made has it installed, so this only affects a few labels.

Is there any way to compile this for 64 bit / OSX?
I'm quite active on the One Synth Challenge on kvr. Always looking for cool synths, but ideally these are cross platform.
In my book that also means Linux, but I'm aware Linux users are a minority in the audio ecosystem.

All made with Synthmaker - strictly 32 bit Windows only, sad to say; it's a bit bewildering that DSP Robotics (Flowstone, which is what Synthmaker is now) is so not with it in this regard.

Another small modular; this based on a small Roland System 700 - the Block-8 'Lab' configuration; similar to the small Moogs.

And a horizontal version for those whose hosts won't display the whole GUI and can't scroll up/down:

Greetings,

Just wanted to report that I've run and tested the Synthegrated12A/15A plugins as Airwave'd VSTs, using Bitwig 1.3.13 for the tests. Things seem to work okay, no real problems, but I did notice that the scope display lags a full beat behind the source. Sound is without hitches or glitches, with nice fat tones (a good reverb and/or chorus really widens the sound).

Thanks for the new (?) instruments !

Platform is Fedora 21, x86_64, with rt kernel from Planet CCRMA.

Best,

dp

Good to hear - thanks; can't figure what the issue with the scope might be.

Just curious - if you are using the vertical layout versions, can you see the whole GUI OK? Some folks on another forum said they couldn't, which is why I did the horizontal versions. Maybe depends on the host being used?

Something different - a Moog modular emulation with an arrangement of modules selected to reflect the basic voice components of the Yamaha CS-80 - namely two sets of VCO-VCF/Env-VCA/Env, plus an LFO. Of course being modular one can connect them any way one wishes.

VCO-1 patterned after the Moog 921, but the other two have had their Aux sections replaced with internal PWM LFOs (like CS-80).

The filters have also been changed to reflect CS-80, having an HPF section in series with an LPF, with common modulation inputs and keyboard track. Unlike CS-80 the LPF is 4-pole.

I'm going to stop peppering the forum with each additional synth that gets done unless it's something new or vastly re-vamped. I'm going to keep doing the param-naming as I have time and stuffing them into the common folder.

I'll chime in again when it looks like at least all the synths in the original Bundle get done.

Cheers - KB
