MPD not bridging to Jack?

Just setting up my system again and I'm nearly all done except I've come across a weird little problem. I have alsa bridged to Jack and I get sound from deadbeef and audacious but mpd won't produce any sound when Jack is running, if I stop Jack then I can hear it what mpd plays.

I noticed in the mpd log is says this:

Feb 16 18:58 : alsa_output: Failed to open "My ALSA Device" [alsa]: Failed to open ALSA device "hw:0": Device or resource busy

I'm not sure why though, I'm using the same config as I previously had and had no problems then.

Use jack output in mpd.conf directly.
