HowTo: LinuxSampler and an effect processor

Post by studio32 »

Hi,

Let say you want to put some distortion or reverb on you guitar channel in LinuxSampler. This can by using jack-rack or jconv:

Create additional jack output ports (i.e. look under the JACK device
setting in Fantasia) and route the sample channels output to them
(click on CR button in Fantasia).

You can increase the number of channels, use the spinbutton in the JACK device settings that now says "2" and change it to "4". Then click you can click on the "CR" button on the sample channel with the guitar and change the channel routing from 1 & 2 to 3 & 4. The signal from the guitar will now be sent on channel 3 & 4 while the drum is still on 1 & 2. Just connect channel 3 & 4 to the guitar effect.
