Molot, limiter6 and Wine GUI workaround

Post by asbak »

vladg makes some great free Windows mastering plugins, but under Wine the GUIs fail to load.

Workaround is to disable d2d1 in winecfg:

winecfg
Go to libraries tab
Add d2d1 to list of overrides
Edit it
Set it to disabled

Thanks for posting this, I've wanted to try those ones for a little while. Have you noticed any impact on other vsts by doing this?

I haven't really tested it in anger but LV2 Linuxsampler into Limiter6 and DSSI-VST PG8X into Limiter6 seems to work fine so it should be the same for the other plugs from the collection. I use the 32bit versions of wine/vsts, the rest of the system is 64bit.

Muse --> Linuxsampler --> Carla Rack --> Limiter6 (loaded with DSSI) - no xruns
