Dear fellow Linux musicians!
Thanks for having me on this forums. I'm building a mobil studio/gig rig around a RME9652 for my bands and other musical project. By using Linux I hope to achieve a level of reliability/performance/control/flexibility ratio that compensates for the overheads, steeper learning curve and discomfort associated with the unusual choice of host OS. Currently I use Reaper as the DAW of the system.
I'm a long time Linux user, but my main profession is not music production, so I build this setup in my spare time. I came here, because I have a lot of questions and hopefully after a while I will also be able to help others. I live in Budapest/Hungary, just feel free to contact me if you're around and wanting to have a chat about music production on Linux.
Cheers,
Mate Birkas
