Hi everyone! I've been a visual artist for a number of years, primarily doing live visuals for musicians and galleries. For those occasions I mostly use Pure Data. I'm also quite familiar with the Live Coding and Algorave scene.
Recently I have decided I wanted to try and make music. I've already explored algorithmic programming languages such as Tidal and now I'm looking into using DAWs such as Ardour to help make music in a more controlled way.
There's a lot of music and music technology terminology that I'm still learning but so far I've enjoyed learning!

Sounds interesting, do you have some examples of visuals generated with Pure Data? And sure, code examples are also welcome!hellocatfood wrote:Hi everyone! Here's a music video I made in Pure Data: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taM4oyy_4kE
A reinterpretation of a part of John Berger's Ways of Seeing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xgT20kMTyA
All made in Pure Data! I also regularly post captures of my live visuals at Algoraves on my Instagram page http://instagram.com/hellocatfooood

I just recently learned about FoxDot (https://foxdot.org/) and now want to do a live coding show. Welcome!

Welcome, that is some very cool livecoding stuff you do! Do you already know about SuperCollider and its clients (such as SonicPi and Overtone)?
