Hello
I'm getting into EDM production again in my 40's, last time I did this was in the 80's on an AtariST running Cubase! Things have changed a little since then...

Yes... just a little
Nice to see you here.
P.S.
Do they still let you guys outside the M25 without a passport?

Re: Hello from London
I'd love to hear your experiences w/ Linux. What do you want to use? Qtractor as a DAW or simply Audacity. Do you make your beats w/ a computer (i.e. a VST) or w/ a drum computer etc.
Welcome!

Re: Hello from London
I've found my soulmate!
I too did started on the Atari, and picked sequencing up again in my (late) 40's.
From what I've heard, currently Bitwig is the best EDM production software.
I use mostly Ardour which is currently being reworked.
In IRC I've learned that one of the goals of the refactoring of the code is to make Ardour better suited to a more EDM style production workflow.
And there's always LMMS. Which is always a lot of fun.
