Hi all, I'm a beginner guitarist from Milan. I've a shift work and I need to practice through headphones. Unfortunatle I've got a low quality sound pluggin the phones to my low price amply, so I ordered a Scarlett i2i usb card giving a chance to my linuxbox.
Today I got a pristine running setup of jack2d, alsa-module, and timidity with the laptop embedded card, but I will need to tweak some parameter as soon as my new card arrive.. no idea on the values...
What I'd like to have as a final env is some presets of emulated effects/distorsions to activate by a usb foot switch, is it possible?
What about recording the post processed guitar signal, keeping a clean source too on a different track.. The sound server architecture seems to be enough flexible for these scenarios.
Anyway I'm totally inexperienced so glad to be here!
