I moved some friend to Open Source
God On Deck Nation is on my label Autumn Street Records. I set them up with an Ubuntu 12.04 system and LMMS. They've totally moved from Fruity Loops to LMMS and from Windows to Ubuntu. It's very exciting!

I hope its going OK for them too although I could never seriously recommend LMMS to people as an alternative to fruity whilst it still lacks real basic stuff like Undo after all these years!
I think LMMS is so much more popular than the other FOSS DAWs mainly because it has a Windows version. I think a lot of LMMS and Reaper uses would be using qtractor if it was available for Windows. qtr may not have integrated synths but otherwise there is no comparison. Maybe a lot of these peeps will switch to A3 when that gets released for Windows?
