Wiki's page on the Open-Source "Movement"

Hi all,
I'd be curious to hear your thoughts about stuff written on Wiki about the Open-source movement, here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open-source_movement

For example, the section that talks about "drawbacks"...

Not very good. It comes over rather as 'Damning with faint praise'.
Unfortunately it's written in a way that is difficult to counter without appearing to just attack bullet points.

Take the one:
"There is no guarantee of updates. Although open source software is available to anyone for free, regular updates are not assured since users do not pay for its use."

And rewrite it for commercial software:
There is no guarantee of updates. Although commercial software is available (at a price) to anyone, regular updates are not assured even though users pay for it."

No names of course

Agreed! I could post a comment or two, if we put together some ideas. Your points are more than valid, and need to be added!
