Temporal Anomalies

I've found some unusual behaviour in this forum software. I posted in this thread, and didn't see Strykar's reply until today.

It happened again in this thread.

Ok, I figured it out. It's because both these threads involved new users, and their posts had to be approved.

Yeah, that's why. Sometimes it takes a little longer because we are few moderators. Maybe more moderators could fix this problem?
Also at the moment the unlocking (unfortunately necessary for spam protection) after a successful 3/5 post, so that he can post freely, is not working properly, so we (rather raboof) have to unlock it manually. Does anyone know anything about this (forum software / php?)? Tips and help are also welcome here. IMHO

It seems to be working some of the time... very weird. We are due for a forum upgrade anyway, perhaps that will help (but it will take a while, the previous time I tried it the upgrade failed and I had to revert to the backed-up version)

If a lack of mods is the problem, I would join.
